Creamy Seafood Chowder

Serves 6

Ingredients

One 6.2 oz. package Farmhouse White Cheddar Pasta
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup finely chopped ham
1/3 cup chopped carrot
1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
3 Tablespoons butter or margarine
2-1/3 cups water
2 cups milk
One 10 oz. can baby clams, undrained
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a Dutch oven, sauté onion, celery, ham, carrot and thyme in butter or margarine until vegetables are tender.
  2. Add water, milk, pasta and contents of seasoning packet; bring just to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer 12 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Add clams and simmer 2-3 minutes longer. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
