Brown & Wild Rice with Mushrooms and Almonds

Ingredients
One 4 oz. package Farmhouse® Brown & Wild Rice Traditional Herbs & Seasonings
2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
1-1/2 cups mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cup green onions, sliced
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1-1/3 cups water
Directions
- In medium sauce pan, heat butter or margarine. Add rice from package, mushrooms and green onions. Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add water and contents of seasoning packet. Heat to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low-boil. Cover and cook for 25 minutes without uncovering or stirring.
- Remove from heat. Uncover and let stand for 3-5 minutes.
